Sniper Elite V2

May 19th, 2012

So I have ordered the new Sniper Elite V2 game, here are some details about the game:

The sequel to Rebellion’s highly-acclaimed 2005 game Sniper Elite, Sniper Elite V2 continues to offer gamers the most authentic World War 2 sniping experience by putting them in the middle of war-torn Berlin amidst the frenzied final battle between German and Russian forces.

With an emphasis on learning to handle the anticipation and pressure of the hunt, players are forced to use skill, patience and cunning to achieve their missions as they find themselves facing life-altering choices.

The celebrated “bullet cam” from Sniper Elite makes its return and will be more gratifying than ever. Skillful shots are rewarded with a slow-motion sequence of the bullet running its full trajectory from barrel to target as well as featuring graphic detail of the effects of the bullet entering and destroying a target.

Special Features:

Sniping simulation: Sniper Elite V2 features detailed sniping simulation with advanced ballistics, taking into account gravity, wind, velocity, bullet penetration, aim stability and more. Guaranteed to provide players with the most realistic simulation of military sharpshooting yet available.

X-ray kill cam: Amazing “kill cam” technology showcases what really happens when a bullet enters an enemy’s body, allowing players to see hearts and lungs tear, livers burst, bones and teeth shatter, and entrails fall out

Authenticity: The game features authentic World War 2 Berlin locations as well as vehicles, weapons such as the Springfield M1903, the Gewehr 43 and the Mosin-Nagant 1891/30, and uniforms modeled after the original versions

Use the environment: The slightest changes in the environment need to be taken into account to move into the perfect position, observe the quarry, take the shot and slip away unnoticed

Sniper’s choice: Players will often find themselves facing a choice of the perfect shot that leaves them catastrophically exposed or a more difficult route that means they can continue their mission

Friar’s Bush Graveyard

March 7th, 2012

Friar’s Bush Graveyard on Stranmillis Road is Belfast’s oldest Christian burial site. The sense of ancient mystery enshrouding the old walled cemetery in south Belfast has long fascinated historians and local people alike.

During the Penal persecution of the 18th century the Catholic population of the town attended Mass under an old thorn tree in the graveyard on Sundays.

This practice, which gave Friar’s Bush its modern name, continued until 1769 when the Penal Laws began to ease. There is a strong tradition that a friar was hanged there in the 1720s.

Friar’s Bush was continually raided by the ‘resurrection men’ or body-snatchers in the early 1800s. In 1823 the Newsletter reported the removal of the bodies of a woman and child from the graveyard. These bodies were later recovered from a barrel on a ship bound for Scotland.

Food…

February 1st, 2012

Just after having a nice bacon sandwich, was yummy. And a nice cold tin of coke zero to go with it, and tomorrow for my lunch I might get a nice Irish Fry which contains 2 sausages, 2 slices bacon, 2 black pudding, one egg, mushrooms, beans, soda bread and potato bread “drools”.

I have got bored of eating food from KFC there chicken is tasty, and I love the fries and the nice cold coke…but I need a change.

Would be cheaper to make my own sandwichs at home and take them with me when I go out, would save cash.

I had a beef curry with fried rice last night from my local chinese takeaway and it was lovely, the curry was very tasty.

But, what I miss the most is eggplant, when I was in Bacolod City me and my Fiancee went to the mall and we went to a chinese resturant called Hong Kong Kitchen and their pork and eggplant is totally very tasty, I’m sure they would sell eggplant in Ireland or maybe it’s under a different name…

Ah well, that’s all for now check back soon…slan slan
