Unfinished Stories

These are some unfinished stories that I had been working on, but stopped.  But could continue then again in the future, as I’m working on new writings.

Great City of Mozab

It was a cold and wet day the professor was sitting per usual, at his desk adding notes to his journal; he had been on a field trip that morning in the jungles of the Great City of Mozab as he wrote with the broken pencil, which had been bound by some leather into his journal.

Monday 18th 1882; The day had started off as expected, we moved onward into the Great City through it’s enormous gates, and into the core of the once loved kingdom it had brought tear’s to my eyes when I looked upon the shattered and torn buildings that once a long time ago housed life, cheerful happy people going about there daily business, not to know what was about to happen.

The Sniper

He peered through the rifle scope, he was not looking for anything in particular,
he had got bored of shooting at can’s in his backyard, today he would kill for real.

he had nothing against the people of america, after all he was one himself, he was sick of the politicians and the government, all they did was talk and talk, and start wars in others homelands, yeah they had the power too fucking much of it…

He lay silent on the roof of the old iron factory…

He scanned the city below, and in the corner of his eye he seen a police officer standing against a wall, he zoomed in and took off the safety catch…

No Idea..what this will be called… – I done this while taking a break from a PC Course

The day was bright the sun was shining through the trees, the birds singing their lovely tunes.  The people going about their daily business, with not a care in the world.  The weather for cast said that it was going to rain all week, but so far the rain had stayed away.  The students had been laying on the grass, out side the Ulster Museum, they had been taking a break from their studies.  Professor Mc Aspen had been sitting on the bench near the band stand eating his lunch, today his wife had made him cheese and ham sandwiches, as well as some tea, that was in a flask.  He had been with the University 15 years now and had been teaching History and Religious Studies.  He was not long back from IRAQ, even though the war was raging on, he went anyway.  He received a call one day from a friend, who had also studied history.  Apparently the hill near the town of Dibhel which was 10 miles from the IRAQ border.  A boy had found a cave high in the mountain as he was looking after his fathers sheep.  The boy had come across the cave by accident, and inside he had found a tin box, he opened the box and inside their was a scroll, it was old and looked like it was about to fall apart in the boys hands.  The boy then put it back in the box, and headed back home, when he arrived he had shown it to his father.  His father opened the box and took out the scroll, he put it on the table, he opened the scroll fully out.  It had had some strange writing on it, that the father could not understand.

Ten miles from the town of Dibhel was the main airport, the US Army had a base their.  Captain Model had received a telephone call early that morning, apparently as one of his commanders was out on a patrol of the town, he was approached by a man with a tin box, the commander thinking it was a bomb, pulled back with his squad, weapons facing the man with the box.  The man opened the box and took out the scroll, he then showed it to the commander.  The commander took the scroll and looked at it, it was really old, he handled it carefully.  He offered the man some us dollars, 20 dollars in total, the man smiled and took the money.  The commander then headed back to the base.

One of Professor Mc Aspen’s friends that he had worked with for many a year, was in IRAQ, he was working with the US Army, some artefacts had been found in caves, and he was called in by the Army, to see where they really came from.  He had phoned the Professor and explained to him that, he had come across a scroll that could have dated back to 14 A.D when the professor had heard this he had jumped on the first plane to IRAQ.

He was met at the airport by his friend John and was taken to the army base where he would be staying, as staying in IRAQ towns would be dangerous for the professor.  The main base was one mile from the airport, it had been perched on top of a hill, over looking the air force base.  He was brought into a tent, and showed the tin box that contained the scroll.  He could not believe his eyes when he opened the box and the scroll lay before him, he took a pair of white gloves that where on the table and put them on, he took out the scroll and laid it on the wooden table before him.  The scroll had strange writings on it that he could not understand, he thought maybe this was an old language that he had not come across before.  Their had been symbols and different shapes on the scroll, it looked like something from a sci-fi movie.  John was sitting across from him both his hands on the table, so what do you think he asked the Professor? Professor ,’I have never seen anything like it before, where did you say it was found again’, John ‘It was found in a cave on a mountain about 10 miles from here’ Professor ‘can you bring me too the mountain’, John ‘we would need to take some soldiers with us as it could be dangerous’, Professor ‘hmm can you sort that out for us’, John ‘Ok I will be right back’, John got up from the table and left the tent.

10 mins later John came back into the tent, he told the Professor that he had got and escort to take them to the mountain.  Outside the tent their had been a humvee parked, with 3 soldiers in it.  The Professor and John climbed into the huge beast of a machine and headed off to the mountain.  It took them one hour to get their, when they arrived at the bottom of the mountain, they had to walk to the cave which was not to far up.  Two soldiers went with them and when they reached the cave, they went in first to check the place out in case anyone was inside.  When the soldiers returned, the Professor and John went into the cave.  At the back of the cave their was some markings on the wall, like those found on the scroll.  The Professor took out the scroll that he had brought with him, he looked at the wall and then at the scroll, the markings where the same.  He took his camera from around his neck and took some pictures of the cave wall, saying to John that he would bring them back to the University and look over them.  After looking at the cave for more markings they found none and headed back to the Army base.  The Professor stayed one more day in IRAQ and then left going back to Belfast he had brought the scroll back with him.
